Maa Ambika SC/ST Sikhya Sevashram of ORISSA NGO is the largest operational NGO that has established projects across jagatsingpur, Puri,Khurda ans all the districts of Odisha . We have been working for four decades and contributing to the crusade against illiteracy. Every child deserves a chance is what Maa Ambika SC/ST Sikhya Sevashram of ORISSA NGO strongly believes in and has been working towards it. Over the years, Maa Ambika SC/ST Sikhya Sevashram of ORISSA NGO has established several projects in the areas of Education (Formal/Non-Formal/Remedial), Women Empowerment (Reproductive Health, Self Help Groups, Livelihood, Microfinance), Institutional Care, Community Health, ECCD, Vocational Training, Environmental Sustainability and Differently Abled. These projects are operational across orissa.
Maa Ambika SC/ST Sikhya Sevashram of ORISSA NGO has reached out to more than 3,30 children, given vocational training to 120 adults, and helped form more than 50 self-help groups with 1,892 women who have established more than 31 micro-enterprises. and many more.
Maa Ambika SC/ST Sikhya Sevashram of ORISSA NGO’s growth, however, has not been a solitary one. The organisation takes the initiative to collaborate with the government and other agencies to make a meaningful intervention in the policymaking process of the State.
ABOUT US
The ORISSA in full known as ORISSA RURAL INNOVATION SOCIAL SERVICE ASSOCIATION at-Batabihari, po-Sidhal, Dist -Jagatsinghpur , Odisha is a non-profit organization with a mission to provide children from low-income communities SC SC children of Odisha with a high-quality education through its Education branch “MAA AMBIKA SC ST ABASIKA SIKSHYASHRAM” enabling them to maximize their potential and transform their lives. Over the past 30 years, the organization has expanded from 15 children in one center to more than 3,00 children in its schools. The organization registered in the year 1994 having its registration no-19595/27 of 1994-1995 by the IGR Cuttack. On ninteenth day of may 1994. Since then it has been engaged in different social development activities.
INTRODUCTION
“Maa Ambika SC ST abasika sikshyashram”is an unaided, recognized school with a CBSE affiliation. The school aims to provide the right balance of academics and co-curricular activities. The curriculum is designed in a way to nurture every essential aspect that a student needs – physical, cultural, emotional, and intellectual. The holistic development of the children is ensured by way of life-skills education, which is the core of the school’s curriculum.
ORISSA NGO is a registered socio cultureal voluntary NON-GOVT. organization. It is a non-profit of organization it is duly registerd under societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, vide its Regn. No : 19595/27 of 1994-1995 by the IGR Cuttack. On ninteenth day of may 1994 and has been governed its Adminstration from its Head Office located at Sidhala, Jagatsingpur,Odisha. Since inception the organization has been conducting a lot of social development activities in its. Jurisdiction from own sources and with co-operation of communities and govt. agencies etc.
AREA OF OPERATION
The area of operation is confined within the odisha state covering all district. EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE is duly governed by a strong Executive corner place constituted with Designated officious & Executive member which is headed by President and Secretary respectively. The organization organize its regular meeting to resolved divisions in respects of its development activities undertakes. It has also been organized its general body meeting regularly as in respects of its development activities undertaken. MEMBERS OF THE ORGANIZATION
The organization prefer three types of members as per norms of its constitution followed. These are like General body members and Executive Committee members and Advisory Body resolved divisions in its Executive Committee Meeting and they are entirely responsible in respect of its development activities undertaken.

Maa Ambika SC/ST Sikhya Sevashram of ORISSA NGO’s focus and sole reason for existence is the SC/ST child, especially the girl child, street child and disabled child. The family of the child is the medium through which the development takes place. Organisation and sensitisation of the community is the approach through which empowerment, capacity building and social transformation are attempted.

We at Maa Ambika SC/ST Sikhya Sevashram of ORISSA NGO commit ourselves – To identify and work along with the economically and socially deprived, the physically and mentally challenged – starting with children, so that they become educated, skilled and aware.
Enable them to be self-reliant and enjoy a healthy, dignified and sustainable quality of life And to that end, act as a resource to and collaborate with other agencies – governmental or non-governmental, as well as suitably intervene in policy formulation.
